The Cobbler's Children go Unshod

Weeds have been growing in my blog garden which is both the good news and the bad news.

It's not that I have nothing to say... hardly the case.  It's just that in the past two years, my dance card has been full helping others write reports, design websites, pen speeches, set up blogs - you name it - leaving my own business profile in shambles.

Not that I'm complaining. Busily challenged is good, but balancing both is best and by virtue of this post, I'm recommitted to providing or profiling fabulous ways to say it right.

Stay tuned!

Should non-profits think more like profits?

maybe so... an interesting piece in today's New York Times spells out the challenges organizations face by leading with the problem rather than the outcomes... it's a shame really since so much good goes unrewarded simply because the lures put out are ill advised. The right photo, the right call out is all that's needed... hopefully more organizations will begin to engage communication specialists to aid their worthy causes... link below and on digg

Confuscious says...

If language is not correct, then what is said is not what is meant. If what is said is not what is meant, then what ought to be done, remains undone.

sound familiar?

We live in a world overwhelmed by words and images... faster, more frequently, more elaborately but toward what end? Confusion reigns and it's no wonder. Who has time or attention for it all? And how does one choose?

In business especially, being clear and concise is essential, yet what a rare treat that is.

Twitter might be on to something after all... that is, if the 140 characters are well chosen.

I invite your thoughts...
